For me, painting is my way of processing and reflecting on my inner world and traumas. It often chronicles milestones or my attempts to resolve the unresolvable. This work is fuelled with emotion, determination and passion. But also an underscore of rage and unease. The layers are all the thoughts contradicting the other, trying to fight for their own space. The work reflects my mind and life at the time and all the unanswered questions I had. Which way am I headed? Am I about to conquer the world? Or am I about to be eaten up by it? In the end, there is no answer. Or maybe the answer is a combination of it all.
