About the artwork:

Steeped in symbolism and referencing a number of famous artworks. In the centre of this piece stands a man wearing Christian robes, the wings and hooved feet tell a different story. Upon his head and at his feet rest the narcissus flower, the camera and ring light face his direction, all depicting his narcissistic being. The gold reflection on the phone shows the false image he portrays to the world. He stands in a stark wasteland, trees burning in the distance, storm clouds brewing, depicting his destructive force. He holds an apple and a plague mask signifying both sin and death. He is no stranger to sinful and damaging acts. Upon the table behind him lies a dead dove, peace is abolished, the bible lies in view yet is trumped by the little black book. Below him we see the fallen woman, laying among the nymphaea flowers, a symbol of innocence and purity, she holds her heart in her hand, yet lays dying, wounded by arrows and anchored down, ignored by the man above, left to suffer.
