“Fragile Memories” is a deeply personal artistic journey, born from twelve transformative years spent immersed in the rugged beauty of Central Australia. Inspired by the ever-changing desert landscape, this textile art piece features eco-dyed and rusted fabrics in a palette of earthly tones inspired by the dynamic nature of the environment.

Each piece is hand stitched into organic forms reflecting the intricate tapestry of memories woven during this period. These stitches like silent whispers, hold the essence of shared experiences and the bonds formed with those I hold dear to my heart.

Amidst the beauty of the desert, a single struggle unfolded within our home. The unseen wounds of military PTSD began to manifest in my husband, casting a shadow over our idyllic life.

In response to this turmoil, I delved deep into my artistic practice to tell the story of love, loss and resilience in the face of adversity.
