This work captures a moment of play, hitting the streets on my bicycle bird contraption and singing karaoke with friends and strangers.

I am interested in public art that uses the unexpected and absurd to cut through the noise of our lives that keeps us distracted and disconnected. You will see us cycling through the city on these ‘freak’ bikes, musicians playing as we ride along, friends and general punters singing their favourite karaoke tunes, experiencing a freedom that escapes the confines of the ‘new normal’. This is cultural ephemera, occupying our public spaces if only for a moment but forever changed.

It represents the vibrant community that supports me, the social, political and environmental activism that motivates me and the playfulness that keeps me positive in a distressful conflicting world.
