Jennie Williams is an emerging ceramic artist living and working on Awabakal and Worimi Lands.
Jennie’s recent work finds beauty and interest in usually mundane street scenes. Through colourful slab-built works Jennie observes the layers of history and culture of urban landscapes and asks the viewer to take a second look.

Jennie moved away from Newcastle over a decade ago. Since her return with her family 3 years ago she has come to appreciate the gritty streetscapes of Islington, Mayfield and Tighes Hill. Her work draws directly from her environment.

She completed her Diploma of Ceramics at Newcastle Art School – Hunter Street Campus in 2023.
Jennie has exhibited in group shows ‘Raw & Cooked’ at Back-to-Back Galleries. ‘State of Clay’, ‘The Cup Show’ & ‘Atelier’ at Newcastle Art Space and ‘Confluence’ at PACC Gallery in Cessnock.
