There is no one trans experience. These monoprints on found and repurposed paper represent my trans experience. I have used the technique of trace monoprint on a range of different papers, as my journey towards my true self has not been about erasing the old. It has been about reconnection, restitution, and reflection. It has been messy, it has been raw, and it has been real. But above all, it has been liberating. To accompany these monoprints, I have displayed another side of my journey through used medical packaging and patches - the price I pay for not having been born with ovaries. The benefits of these sudo-ovaries have been the development of my breasts, here laid bare, all to see, with immense euphoria and pride.
